A Word from our Director

"KINGDOM NOTES"

What an amazing Summer this has been. It would take pages to describe all that God has done through the vision, generosity, and passion of the churches in the MBA. We had a tremendous two weeks in the Dominican  Republic seeing more than 200 adults give their hearts to the Lord Jesus. The VBS weeks averaged more than 400 kids not including adults. During the second week of our trip we hosted a medical clinic in a region not far from where the Association is building the school. Two doctors saw more than 150 families and gave out about 1000 lbs of medicine. Also, thanks to some local dentists, 1000 dental kits where given out to kids and another 300 given to adults. In the two weeks 4000 lbs. of supplies (school supplies, clothes, medicines, bibles, and leadership materials) were taken and distributed. We are also overjoyed by the generosity of our churches as they provided the necessary funds to finish the foundation of the school building. This week the brick layers are back on sight to start on the walls and columns. Our hope and prayer is to see this facility finished by the end of the year. Two homes have also been completed and a third is on the way for the residents of the Piedra Gorda. God is so good!

On the home front I was encouraged to hear that many of our churches participated in Convoy of Hope. There is no better picture of Kingdom Work than to see churches of every size, color and stripe working together to impact a community. God was truly honored and glorified through this massive undertaking.

It’s hard to believe that Summer is coming to end. Pretty soon kids will be heading back to school and our schedules will begin to fill up with all sorts of activities. To help you all get ready for a new church/school year be sure to take advantage of all of the training and equipping events coming up this month and next (Sunday School Training Workshop, Next Level – for Youth, and the Key Leader Workshop).

May God bless you as you keep seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness.
